Jalapeno Cornbread

1 box cornbread mix
1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1-1/3 cup milk
1 small can jalapenos drained
3 tablespoons melted butter
1-1/2 cups shredded cheese

Whisk together all dry ingredients except cheese in bowl. In a separate bowl mix eggs, milk, butter, and jalapenos. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Add in 1/2 of the cheese. Pour into greased 9 x 9 pan or lined muffin pan. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 450 for 20-25 for 9 x 9 pan or 10-12 minutes for muffins.
