1 lb uncooked elbow noodles
2 tbls butter
3 tbls flour
1 cup milk
1 12oz can evaporated milk
2 cups shredded smoked Gouda
3oz cream cheese softened
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp red pepper
1 8oz package chopped, cooked, smoked ham
2 cups cornflakes cereal, crushed
2 tbls butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350.
Prepare pasta according to directions. Drain and place in a large bowl.
Melt butter in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Gradually whisk in flour until smooth. Whisk constantly 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and evaporated milk. Whisk constantly 3-5 minutes. Whisk in Gouda, cream cheese, salt, and 1/4 tsp red pepper until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in ham.
Combine pasta and cheese mixture. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan.
Stir together crushed cereal, melted butter, and remaining red pepper. Sprinkle over pasta mixture.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
